Was searching for something on Google and bumped into 5.25" IDQ looking mids with CF cones. Got me wondering how would they perform in a 2 way + sub. Crossing at 2K @24db.

Those are the CX Chameleon mids you're referring to.

Very good speakers......very detailed.

Detailed as smooth or detailed as bright? How about midbass, do you know? Interested in 5.25"s.

i had a set of the IDQ52. just like the one's u saw on ebay. yes they do have some good midbass but keep in mind that those are some old speakers. if i was you i'd go route of the cx52s at least it'd be something a lil newer and maye even be able to get repaired if something went wrong. where as i know for a fact the IDQ52s can't be repaired no more
