Their so-so. Hertz is the flavor of the "month" speakers. Focals, Pioneer, Alpine etc have made speakers equal to them. Certainly didn't stop you in mid step and make you want to whip out your wallet to buy them. Now their 3 way 6x9's were pretty good. But I'm in the minority.

All things being equal from quality amps, solid install etc I'd say start with:
Alpine Type R.

Can be a little bright but a solid choice.
Pioneer

TS-D1702R.html

But with a budget in mind and if you have a dedicated dsp to help you dial in these you can't feigfin go wrong for the coin.
Amazon.com : Pioneer TS-D1720C 6.75-Inch D-Series 280-Watt Speaker Package : Vehicle Speakers : Car Electronics

I've heard all of these and the TS-D1720C easily has the best kick of them all.

But dollar to dollar if I were to look at spending that ki d of money and status is important go with
Focal.

But in the end having the right person dial it in is just as important as the equipment itself.
