Hello all,

When reading the G Five tech specification I can see that the output power (RMS/max) is rated (@ 4Ohms) at 4x 80/160W + 1x 360/720W (link).

That said should i assume that the true power that this amplifier outputs for example on the subwoofer channel is rated between 360 and 720W or this is a completely wrong interpretation of mine?

To clarify this I sent an email to Helix but unfortunately didn't get a reply from them.

I'm sorry for the newbie shameless question.

At 4 ohms it will do 360 watts RMS, 720 watts peak. At 2 ohms it will do 600 watts RMS, and 1,200 watts peak.

The specs don’t say “RMS” or “Max” but it seems obvious that’s what they mean. Max ratings are particularly helpful, so ignore them. Hell, often times RMS isn’t all that helpful either.

At 4 ohms 4 x 80 (RMS) or 160 (Max) and 360 (RMS) on the sub channel
At 2 ohms 4 x 120 (RMS) and 600 RMS on the sub channel
