Yeah, the Sundown SD series is made for sealed boxes. SA is made for ported box. Sundown subs can handle more than rated power if in the proper box

Boston Pro 12.5s pop on eBay quite often. Very nice SQ sub that can perform.

The Stereo Integrity BM MKIV can perform and will dig down plenty deep. Don't be put off because it is a shallow mount. Performs as well as most 12s and requires half the space.

Good luck with your decision.

Why not stick with HAT and get their Clarus 12? I have their Clarus 10.... solid sounding sub.... I do wish I had more oomph but I do not have the room for a big box... OK I do I just don't want it in the back of my car.

I had a Boston Pro10.5 many years ago and never liked the way it sounded. I do not know if my car made it boomy or what it was.... I used the same amp (Adcom), box and sub that a sales guy used in his Porsche 928 and it sounded great in there... we even had the same old eclipse dead head deck... We spent many days trying to get it to sound right and it never did :(

Yes, the Si subs are fantastic, and yes they are up there in price...sort of. My opinion, if they do what you need, and keep you from constantly changing subs and spending money....well worth it :)
