I currently run my old school Alpine 7897 love its features, 3 pre outs, high voltage, tuning capabilities blah blah blah. Here is a picture of it.

I also just run one set of rca cables to my Clarion 72EQ and then feed the system from the EQ. Alpine works great but I am sick of constantly loosing CDs and want to use my IPOD!!!!
I want a new receiver with a Ipod interface, number of outputs don't really matter since I just need one to run to the equalizer, front usb is a must.
Also double din, single din, doesn't really matter. Also would like it if it had a variety of tuning options, I am not brand specific, just need someone elses input on what IPOD friendly receiver works for them.
So...... let the suggestions begin please! Thanks in advance for your help I absolutely love this forum!

Ipod or iPhone? Also which version. Would suggest the pioneer NEX series to use car play but if you don't have an iPhone 5 or higher I don't think it works.

Yeah that's another problem it is an IPOD and probably 6 years old lol

Ever since I connected my iphone to a i-pure 20 to a Bit One, my top of the line Alpine with everything hasn't been turned on for almost a year now. I simply don't have the need for a HU since everything works from my phone and some more.

Thanks for the suggestions guys I might check into that alpine too, turns out swim might be willing to do some body work for a system in his sentra, might put the kenwood in that and start from the top again.

I have been very happy with my CDA-117. Though it only has USB on the back. I ran a cable to my upper glove box though.

That could work as well, I am not brand byest by any means, but all my old alpine units still work just as good as however the hell old they are lol.

Planning similar with a USB to HDMI adapter from iDevice, then optical converter to Helix DSP. I suspect I'll run into similar habits.

I have the 149bt and it works great with newer ipods. But when I tried my modded 240gb 5.5g Ipod I lost a few controls. But my w910 still works it perfectly do I don't think it's the Ipod.

I am going with an alpine next, I haven't hooked up my EQ and am running the RCA's from HU to amps, the EQ and crossovers on the headunit SUCK ASS! The sub Freq you can only go down to 80hz 80........ I am used to my old Phantom that goes down to 20 but oh well back to square one. I could keep the kenwood and hook up my EQ I might try this before I buy another HU. Thanks for the great advice guys I will look into these alpines.

Added the EQ to the kenwood HU sound difference and control are night and day MUCH better for now..
