Hi All,

Just looking for some opinions on the following sub setups.

Hertz HX300D vs Boston 12" G5 (w/ GTR) vs Dual 10" IDQ 10 v3's

Currently I'm running a single IDQ10 v3 (sealed 1.1cuft) and am looking for a little extra output.

Since I'll be creating a new sub-box for this install, the max dimensions for the new enclosure are: 380mm h x 1030mm w x 380mm d. Roughly 3.884cuft gross.

Other Considerations:
  • The sub amp is a Clarion XH7110, currently feeding the iDQ 450WRMS @ 4OHM. It is capable of 850WRMS @ 2OHM;
  • I have been having allot of trouble sourcing a 2nd hand IDQ in AUS and the RRP is a little on the high side for obvious reasons;
  • There's currently a recently re-coned G5 available locally at a great price and GTR's can also be picked up locally quite cheap;
  • The Hertz HX300D are available quite cheap brand new from my local reseller.
Other particulars about the setup:
  • Car: Holden VZ Commodore (Sedan - think older Pontiac G8)
  • Front stage: Hertz HSK 165.4's (running active);
  • Front stage amp: Clarion XH5410;
  • Processor: Alpine PXA-H100;
Any advice on the above would be much appreciated.
