My name is West, I'm new to the site but not new to mobile audio. I'm transitioning to forums for pretty much everything that I'm into, especially for the used marketplace as eBay and Craigslist aren't the best place for enthusiast items. Gonna be doing what I consider a pretty serious build soon consisting of:

pioneer double din
2 6.5" component sets
1 ~100w rms x4 amp
2 12" subs
1 ~800w rms mono amp
a sub box made for my 8th gen civic coupe
sound deadener all over
high quality wiring, incl the big 3, might add second battery for audio

Not sure of the models I'm going to go with yet but those are roughly the specs I'm after.

I've been lurking this forum for a while but hope to soon be able to add some valuable information of my own one day.

Hello and welcome to the forum. I'm fairly new as well to this forum, but have been into car audio since the the 1980's. Congrats on your undertaking. It is a massive project. Good luck with your build.

Welcome, and based upon my quick read you appear to be going passive with this build. Not that I'm saying there is anything wrong with that. The gear that you've listed is fine for what you want/need it to do especially if you already own it. Is there a specific reason for the (2) 12"s or is that also because it's what you own ?

I also chose 2 12's because of a prefab box made specifically for my car that I decided to go with. Fits great and I still have a ton of trunk space. In hindsight however I'd rather have gone with a ported box.
