How much mat/resin/hardener for a small set of kicks (small 4 inch and tweeter) I was thinking about picking up 2 quarts of resin. would that be enough?
Depends on how much is going to be MDF and how much is going to be fiberglass. A gallon should do it.
I did a spare tire enclosure a few months ago that had 2 gallons in it. It was a little over 2 cubic feet.
Really also depends on if you are using a lot of fleece. Fleece will soak up more resin than mat will. So if you are using a lot of fleece to get a shape plan on using more resin.
Fleece eats resin, and I find mat takes more than cloth. 2 qts should be fine for a small to medium sized set of kicks. If it's your first time fiberglassing, be sure to mix small batches so you don't waste resin.
