I picked up an AudioControl EQX for my system and have been looking to use some RTA software I picked up (TrueRTA being one)

I'm just trying to get good sound, this is by far not some competition car so it doesn't have to be exact. I have a logitech usb microphone (USB Desktop Microphone) that I've used for some simple guitar recording here and there and was always pretty good.

How can I know how accurate the mic is though? Short of comparing it to a pro RTA setup, is there anything I can do? I assume it could have like a big dip in response somewhere and I would adjust according to that and throw it all off.

Maybe its not worth worrying about and will be good enough for what I'm doing, just looking for any suggestions.

To answer some of my own question, the specs for the mic say Frequency response: 100 Hz–16 kHz, so I'll have to go by ear for the lower freqs I guess
