Ok so, when using a SMD DD-1/Silla scope on a passive setup it's recommended to use a 1khz test tone. So, How does this work when dealing with an "Active" setup? I'll be going from "passive" to "active" on my HAT 6.5 Clarous. I'm currently using a JL Audio 300/2v1 and plan to use that amp for the mid drivers and a Cadence xenith XA125.2 (80x2 @ 4 ohm) on the tweeters. According to Scott the clarous tweeters can handle 75 watts with proper xover point. My plan was to get the most unclipped power from the cadence amp so i know where it starts to clip and then bring down the gain to make the tweeters blend with the mid drivers . How will i have to go about this? The xover points that i plan to go/start with are 63hz-5,000hz @ 24db on the mid drivers and 5,000hz and up @ 24db on the tweeters. feedback would be great. Thanks.

How is everyone doing this? I'm trying to do it the right way since "clipping" is our enemy; especially on "active" setups.
