Just saw this on "Hybrid audio technology's facebook page.
"We'd like to announce at CES that we are going to build a 13.5-inch audiophile subwoofer this year in the Legatia Special Edition series. It will be an SDS design with exceptional linear excursion, low inductance and low distortion. Details will be released later this quarter for hopeful release by end of third quarter. This will NOT be yet another shallow-depth subwoofer, it will be the benchmark subwoofer, shallow or deep. Tentative plans call for small sealed enclosure and infinite baffle applications."
Just thought it'd be nice to share...

They have to if the want to be the best shallow sub in the business... else, people will just go for the 13TW5 v.2

Now I can cancel my AE subs and have an all Legatia SE system!:D
Once paid, you can't cancel your order FYI. Plus, what is wrong with AE?

That's possible. That's somewhat an unusual sub, most likely geared towards IB use. Clearly it's a specialist product with a corresponding price premium..

By the way, has anyone played with the new 10 inch HAT Imagine subwoofer yet? It seems like it has no feedback so far.

Maybe similar to JL's offering

L Audio 13.5 Inch Thin Line Subwoofer Driver - CS113TGTW5/ Extremely Shallow Mounting Depth (2.5 inches)/ Extremely Small Sealed Enclosure Volume Requirements/ Patented Concentric Tube Suspension Design/ Patented Floating Cone Attach Method Technology/ DMA-Optimized Motor Designs/ Very Large Diameter Voice Coil/ Long Linear Excursion Capability/ High Power Handling/ Cast Alloy, Tab-Ear Frame/ Injection Molded, Mica-Filled Polypropylene Cone with Santoprene Surround/ Black Finish
... add in infinite baffle option ...

$700.00 or more ought to do it.

I have a first gen JL 13 and while it can hit pretty hard and isn't a bad woofer, sound wise my little HAT 6SW is much better. I can only imagine what the HAT 13 will sound like.

Either way, I'm sure it won't be long after it hits the shelves that someone will put the two together and see what the outcome will be.

I can't imagine it being cheaper than the L8SE. I'll take a guess at $1049 SRP.
I wouldn't doubt it. Seeing as it is going in the SE line. The L3SE is about $900 so I wouldn't be surprised to see it as high as $1300. Although I hope it isn't :)
