I have made a mistake.
I have never in my life purchased new speakers. I usually just check the local marketplaces every few days for years at a time until I see an amazing deal to jump on.
That being said it never occurred to me there would be a market for fake speakers.
When I got them in I put them on the bench and immediately knew something was off. I then convinced myself I was crazy and put them in my car... I was not crazy they sound horrible.
I then began poking around the web and found that, indeed, fake speakers are a problem.
I found very detailed images of the speakers online and compared to my own and honestly I could not tell a difference. The only thing I found is on my packaging neodymium is spelled NEODYMUM.
I still fear I'm going crazy - does anyone have their original packaging for a APK 165? Can anyone confirm they do indeed sound nice? Thank you!
EDIT: I should definitely have also mentioned I have requested verification from audison. They have an FAQ and an email address specifically for it. It has been 5 days.
