so right now i am running tangband w3-1364sa in pods on the a-pillars, and i have found that at high volumes they distort quite a bit in the upper frequecies (5k+) so i my plan was to add a small inexpensive tweeter to run in sail panels (3-4" from the a pillar pods) to cover this range. i will run them active, and i need to keep them price less than $50 a pop. i cannot stand harshness, so i need something that can play 5k and up with maximum smoothness. also, as this will be a sail panel install, outer diameter must be less than 2.25" and the shallower the better.

ive done a little research, but most reviews center around a tweeters ability to go low. since i am not wanting to go low... will any old tweeter do? what characteristics in a tweeter should i look for to add this top end? give me suggestions and/or point me in the right direction!
