You'll need about 2 amps at 5volts for the unit.

I'd run 12 volts to a USB charging unit. There are a bunch of them out there, but you need to make sure that the adapter puts out at least 1 amp to run *or* charge the iPad... 2 amps to charge and run.

Here's one that you could run off a hard wired 12 v socket in your glove compartment:

Amazon.com: Griffin Technology PowerJolt Plus 2 amp Power Charger for iPad, iPhone and iPod (Black): Electronics

It would only pull a little over 1 amp from your electrical system, so you could run 18 or 16 gauge wire to the socket.

You can tap the headphone out for audio.

Well I'm got everything I needed to to get power to the iPad and as for audio I'm using the aux output of my 360.2

But that wont won't work I have an all in one cable that has RCA USB plus I'm only want to used one cable

I was thinking using 18 ga wire to extend the ac controls
