It seems that my W505 will not recognize my 20gb Ipod classic. When i plug the ipod in, it seems to be charging but it does not recognize it so I can play music. Any help with this would be nice.
Which connection are you using - USB (the cable that was included) or FULL SPEED connection (KCE-422i - the cable you bought separately)?
If it is USB, then only 5th gen Ipod, 1st and second gen Ipod nano can be connected.
If it is a FULL SPEED cable, then you have to disable AUX+ input (switching it in OFF position in receiver settings).
After you plug the ipod into your stereo, reset it by holding the center and top button at the same time until the black apple shows up.
It should regignize your ipod after about 30 seconds.
