I think dkc7 is in Ottawa, he'll still have winter for another month. 3 hour drive one way, but fine.@dkc7 are you over that side? Know any tuners?
Are you looking for the first 80% tune or the last 20%?I want my system tuned , I'm a knob, I'm in Picton, Ont, I can drive there. Tx
Did u mean noob😂I want my system tuned , I'm a knob, I'm in Picton, Ont, I can drive there. Tx
lol I saw that and wondered it if was a Canadian thing.Did u mean noob😂
I don’t think he has a mic or any desire to use REW. The DSP is also a DSR1.Are you looking for the first 80% tune or the last 20%?
For the first 80% you can get someone (like Nick) to do an on-line tune for you. For the last 20% I'm not sure we have anyone in Ontario...
Spoiler alert, you might want to brush up/familiarise yourself with the basics of REW and the Helix DSP software. I’m working on something for Rick’s gtg that might be just that.I can fabricate anything. But when I read about tuning my eyes glaze over. Thats why I go to the gtgs. When I did my audison I set crossovers and speaker distances and that made a huge improvement.
i would love to attend a tuning for dummies course if any tuners out there put one on.
That would be awesome.lol I saw that and wondered it if was a Canadian thing.

Its a 35 hour road trip. I was thinking 3or 4 of us could chip in for her to fly over for a weekendI'm not aware of any competent tuners in Ontario.
But if you're willing to drive across the line and go to New Jersey, then go see Nick @ Vanguard.
It'd be a 6 hour drive (each way)... but well-worth the time and money.

Look up videos by Kyle Ragsdale on YouTube, here is Part 1:i would love to attend a tuning for dummies course if any tuners out there put one on.
That is an excellent series. It's how I got started learning how to tune (still on the learning journey)Look up videos by Kyle Ragsdale on YouTube, here is Part 1:
He has I believe 14 videos on tuning, using a Helix, but can be applied to any DSP. I used these a bunch when I had a Helix for tuning, very easy to follow.
Old school knob 🤣 btw l think stereos should still have knobs.... one W3 is enoughDid u mean noob😂
Saw them, still didnt understand, l started to read REW and didn't understandLook up videos by Kyle Ragsdale on YouTube, here is Part 1:

It'd be more than a weekend, if there's 3 or 4 of you... Each tune takes about 8 to 10 hours to do properly. Its a 35 hour road trip. I was thinking 3or 4 of us could chip in for her to fly over for a weekend
