Have you looked at the SRT Durango?
https://www.motortrend.com/news/styling-size-dodge-durango-srt-vs-jeep-grand-cherokee-trackhawk/

$20K less and MUCH more practical due to the 3rd row seat and has the scatpack normally aspirated 6.4/329. I drove one on the track at Bondurant and was BLOWN away. True a trackhawk would be faster in a straight line, but you can't really use that extra power on the street. 485 is PLENTY, and you can always slap a pro-charger on it if you wanted.

Oh, and the Durango SRT looks amazing, way better than the Trakhawk, IMHO.
Thanks! I do loooooove the Durango SRTs, but I don't need that much seating... Plus, I have a feeling that if I was to get an SRT just to save money, I would regret it long term. I really want the brutal power of the TH.

I'm in Chicago, so shorter travel from Ohio to here. Not sure if this link will work, but a pic I got from my friend at the dealer.

Wow, it's beautiful!!! Congrats man!! That's an absolute dream car right there... Just take it easy during the break in period (500 miles), it's not gonna be easy!

What never shows well in pictures, is how fat the P Zeros are on these beasts.

Here it is, if you don't mind:

I love that color! And I’ve always liked the wide tires of the BMW X5 but I’m sure they’re wider on the TrackHawk. Beautiful car!

uh oh that 1 tire is going to cost as much as other subcompact car's set of 4 tires. It's like changing 16 tires at a time every 15k or 20k miles if these are the summer tires. (no big deal for the people with those vehicles)
I barely got 20K miles on my Acura TL with high performance summer tires. A heavy SUV with that much power, I’d be surprised if they last 10,000 miles.

I drive so little, it would take me about 3 years to need new tires. Buuuuut that doesn't account for burnouts! Lol :D

Two things.

1. AWD means no burnouts unless you really, really want to. :)
2. My friend with the Hellcat had a video of a hellacious burnout right before he changed tires.

It's Dave... he'll have to upgrade to 325, 335 or whatever size!!
I actually got a tiny bit over 20k miles on my 315 wide even loaded with the stereo stuff. The trick is to take lots of fast corners so that it'll scrub/wear the outside shoulders/sides instead of the center or insides during normal drives. In the end it looks like it wears out evenly lol. Appropriate pressure/inflation and alignment is very important for all these summer low profile tires (can monitor and tell early after a few k miles and if necessary fix/realign it while early enough). Also the load rating for truck/SUV tires is higher, so that helps a little too with the tire life. Right now I'm at about 37k miles... looking for 40k so that I can show my brothers I can get 20k twice lol.

You gotta jump on that! Five grand seems like a hella bargain!
It really is... $5k for almost 150hp is pretty cheap! The higher price to pay, though, is saying goodbye to the warranty. :(

Chances are, if warranty work was needed, the dealership would never notice the upgrades. Cold air induction wouldn’t void the warranty and they probably won’t notice the new pulley or tuning.

That is true. The thing most noticeable and potentially problematic though, is the custom tune and the dealer flashing the pcm (or having to tell the dealer to not, which is also a red flag).
I'm not saying this type of thing always or automatically voids the warranty, but it could definitely be a problem if something catastrophic was to happen to the engine or transmission.

Besides, it's just nuts to buy a super-car-fast suv and then think you need an additional 150 horses! Lol
