Buy the repair kit, it's easy and makes the sub look like new.

I did a pair of jl 12w6v2 and it was easy, time consuming but worth it.

Its easy on the W6V2 model, so its must be easier on the W7 because of a much stiffer suspension (spider). The spider seems to hole the coil pretty centered up when surround is removed.

MY TIP: DONT RUSH IT, DO NOT RUSH. When your removing the old foam you'll notice how old it is and dry-rot (easy to rip). Use 90% alcohol and that will help loosen up the glue. Once all the foam is removed, make sure its clean and smooth for the new surround. There are videos online showing how to properly do it I suggest you view them a couple of times to get a good idea on how to do it.

Once you finish I suggest you let it dry for atleast 24hrs, the recommended is 6hr or so but the longer the better.

psi car audio, recones 12w7's. They have done several, and posted up great results. check with their site
I sure hope their in his town because shipping this monster back and forward is not going to be cheap. Best to do it yourself and save all that shipping $$$. Like i stated it's easy to do, you just have to be very patient and take about a good hour to do one properly. Now if your careless and impatient them go ahead and spend your money on shipping it and having it done right.
