A channel dropped out, had it repaired but another channel went. Think the guy said it was one of the vertical board, which the amp was mounted on the sub box when I bought it. I suspect vibration?

All my Slash amps from 05-09 had same problem, the RCA connection inside the amp got dirty.
Go to Facebook under JL forum they will show you how to fix it, never done it myself.

Thanks for the info, I wonder what changes JL made for v1 v2 v3? Hopefully M.smith can chime in.

Yeah. But I don't really see the purpose. Since the 300/4 can do the job of the 300/2 bridged
because you can use it bridged to 300 watts for your sub. today a used 300/2 cost less than a 250/1 and is more flexible if you don't need the subsonic and bass eq its chassis also match ehte 300/4.
makes me sad they never made a 300/8 or a 300x6 (35x4 + 75x2) in the same chassis.

i used a 300/4 and 300/2. i just picked up a 500/1 and i will move the 300/2 to run my mid basses this week. and then use the 300/4 on mids and tweets.
i picked up each amp for about 160 on ebay. they are not all pretty but for under 500 bucks i have 4x75 2x150 and 500x1. i wil lprobably respray or apply vinyl "silver wrap" on the top panel and touch up the heat sinks

thats what I ran for years. 300/4 on tweets and mids. 300/2 on midbass. Was a very good set up. They have been sitting in boxes since I sold the car. This thread makes me wonder should I put them back into use.

I wanted to update you guys on my decision. I went both ways...
On the Tundra Build, I will be using all Slash v1. 1000/1, 300/4, 300/2
And I will use The XD600/1 and a XD400/4 for my girls 2015 Chevy Spark Build ( Havent started that one yet )
