relocating my battery to the trunk and doing the big 3. So, for my positive calbe, ive got three going from the battery. One to the alt, one to my fuse box, and one to my starter. Can i just put all thee into one distro block and have one 1/0 coming out to the batt? also, the bat the alt will be 1/0 gauge. thanks

Sure, but there isn't any reason to replace the battery to alternator cable unless you are upgrading the alternator. If you choose to do so anyway, double check that it's just a straight cable and not fused. Is there any particular reason you want to relocate the battery?

Seriously? Damnat lol first I'm told that upgrading the engine ground is useless, now it's the alt to batt to lol i totally bought 30 feet of this **** to haha two reason, it looks hella cool and its make my engine bay look cleaner. Purely cosmetic reasons

If the battery requires venting... gotta vent it outside the vehicle in case/because it's poison or something lol.
For vehicles with the battery already in the trunk... this trunk-type battery usually has a small tube/hose from the battery to somewhere at the car body (to vent out).

That's something I didn't know, thanks man. I'll look into that. I did get a battery box that has some sort of tubing with it though?

Personally, I think that the "Big 3" is an overrated mod to begin with. It is popular because it's easy and fun for people to do. It's difficult to screw up, and it gives people a sense of accomplishment having modified their car without ruining it.

There may be some cars that benefit more than others, and high power situations where it can be beneficial, but I think most of the time the only "improvement" is purely psychological.

Either way, the existing cable is already sized appropriately to allow as much current as that alternator can produce to flow to the battery. Changing that cable with a stock alternator doesn't help anything.

I might as well switch it out anyways since I've already got it out and it's only like 2 feet of extra cable lol what your saying seems logical though. There was something taped up in the middle of the wire though, and I have no clue what it is. Just looks like a different color and slightly harder feeling wire was connected in the middle of it.

Peel it back and look, it's likely just a little plastic brace, but if it's a fuse you'll need to make sure that you fuse the new wire to the same amperage.

Would I have to extend the wires into a car a then hook up to a distro block or is there waterproof distro blocks that I could use?
