I have just finished the first stage of my factory stereo upgrade and need help. I have installed a Kenwood KDC-X997, an amp, and a 10" Kenwood sub. I have done a fair amount of reading and can only seem to find instructions for tuning my crossover on the amp. After reading a few post on this forum I have read it is better to tune it from my HU since it has an internal cross over.

Can someone give me a better idea of where to start with the tuning.

Just to give you a little more detail on my setup, I have a 95 Toyota Tacoma with the single cab; because of this I only have front speakers and my sub. I currently have the stock speakers in the door, but I will be ordering replacements in the next month or two.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have an X994 that I pulled out of my Miata. With your stock 6.5 inch speakers and your sub, I think a safe 100Hz would be a good starting point for the cross.
I didn't have too much experience with the TA on that unit before I swapped it out, but take out a tape measurer and make the measurements.
