Installed a Kenwood DMX1057xr in my 2006 4Runner this year. Along with a Maestro RR2 a dashcam and a rear cam. also put a USB/hdmi input in my center console.
Love this setup. Android Auto, works great. Have all my music on a usb drive .

Haven't got the kenwood mirroring to work yet, but Android auto works good.

The RR2 allows the unit to display guages and engine error codes.

Looks great. (keep a cloth handy to wipe screen)

I have the same unit (well, euro-version of it) in my car, and I'm very happy with it. Don't remember where spesifically just now, but you have to activate a certain setting on the android phone to get mirroring to work.
