I know this two weeks old but for others just discovering this -

1) SQ recommended sealed enclosure is 3.00 cubic feet per driver, I hope you have a large trunk/hatch.

2) Ported enclosure would be better suited for this and here's why.

For one thing the subs are 8 ohm, meaning the amp is only going to see a 4 ohm load and only about 140 watts.

To maximize this system it would be best to run a 2 ohm load and a ported enclosure down to 31-32 Hz.

But since you can't do that, I would opt to use only one in a ported box which is more reasonable on space and output/response would be really good in the zone where most popular music is.

This is as long as you take the savings and spend it on a properly designed enclosure.

Thanks for the input, but I thought it said 4ohm. Anyhow, I see they have the pkg on clearance for $135 now.

I decided to stop thinking about a sub for a while and focus on my main speakers.
You can add a sub system to your car, just be careful with output. That said it depends on how large your main speakers are.

BB currently has a single Comp 12 4 ohm with the same mono amp. This is a better buy because driving the amp at 4 ohms is really only enough to drive one woofer effectively.

He offers cheap design plans. SQ Vented is 2.25 cubic feet for that woofer.

Be sure to ask to get it tuned to around 30-32 Hz as long as the port itself will fit in the box it will sound great and the output bump will happen down around 40 Hz which is ideal for popular music; but the box volume and tuning will allow frequencies down below to the tuning to be audible.

This will make it more "musical" for all types of music. At the very least you'll have to turn down the bass out maybe a tick or two with some types of music, but overall it will be very good.

Any shop worth it's salt with a good set of plans can knock out your box in about an hour, maybe 90 mins carpeted since they would only be following the cut sheet and not designing from scratch.

Good Luck

Oh I thought you mean the dual 12" system? Sorry I posted the reply and used the same link, it's $134 actually with tax I guess around $140 OTD.

You are right it's 4 ohm, the dual 12" package has two 8 ohm drivers.
