The only thing about the Diamonds is that the motor protrudes in front of the cone quite a bit adding at least another 1/4" to the total depth if front clearance is also a concern.

Any updates. I just jumped on DIYMA as well to refresh from ECA days...

If I recall however, the last time I looked at at a shallow sub, while the Phase Aliante would have been my choice, output was a issue...

I ended up doing a SW250 on seperate side panels.

Now I'm looking for ideas as well for the E92

Nothing new. While output can be an issue with these types of subs, the fact that the drivers will be in the cabin in close proximity to the listener will help. If you were trying to put them in the trunk then it would be a different story. Still, it seems like going the cheap way out and getting the SWS subs might be the way to go. Price/performance ratio goes up exponentially after that.

I've been waiting for the specs on that sub to come out. Not the greatest specs though. 40+ Fs and 78dB sensitivity not so good. Also 0.5 cu ft is pretty big for an 8". Looks like Kenwood might have failed on this one.
