I'm a little shocked that it is getting bids like that in this economy. The DPS500 is a fine amp, but I wouldn't take one over a HV series and you can almost get a 2.2 for that.

I'm surprised to hear you say that. I run my BG Neo3's off a 302IQ. The 302IQ is more than enough for those tweets. Most any tweets for that matter. A DPS500 seems like overkill.

I have a black DPS200 that would be perfect for tweets/mids. I'll be putting it up for sale on the forum in the next couple of days, if interested.

Oh, and curious about your 952 powering the Exclusives. I'm in the midst of installing the 4" version, and wasn't sure if the 952 would have ample power for them. I'd be taking a step down in power from the 300/4 (75 rms), but I'm sure the 952 can still crank out some juice when called upon.


And I just checked the price that the DPS500 is going for currently, holy **** batman, I paid 40 bucks more than that for my second 2.2HV, I thought it would have fallen off around 300 or so, but damn.

I am thinking of putting a 652i on tweeters in my Mustang. If that isn't enough, I will use my Reference 700s

Now I don't feel bad for receiving an Orion HCCA 225 and a LP150 from someone who owed me $500, but was in the process of filing for bankruptcy! Having those amps is better than nothing at all and I have since had the PURPLE LP150 modded.

Tis a good deal there.

A semi local audio shop had two 8002SWs listed on the Bay for quite a while, had em at 800 each IIRC, don't think they ever sold.

And now the DPS500 is up over 500 bucks, not really a "hot" deal any more IMO.

Also, there is a DPS100 on there now for 220 shipped, that seems like a nice deal.

Another $15 and that as much as I paid for a 2.2 in the original box with paperwork!

That DPS500 isn't even mint. It's got some nicks in the heatsink and some scratches.
