I am installing a AudioControl DQL-8 (digital LOC) and running 2 amps for my subs (one amp per sub). The DQL-8 only has 1 Sub out. I am wondering if it is best to use "Y" splitters right off the DQL-8 or use the output from the amp (JL 500/1)?

the output from the amp is buffers and would be ideal but it would be a PITA to level match, well, kinda. Try using the amp ut first if indeed ti passes signal to another SUBWOOFER amp and is not a HP only output.

BUT a Y cable is fine to be honest.

Do you have 2X500/1's?

I'd just try passing it thru the first amp, and get this, you are gonna hear me recommend this VERY seldom. I'd find a tone, play it, and match the levels with a DMM.

OK, there, I did it, document this folks.
