My son will soon start driving my old Highlander that I used to compete with. I don't trust him with my irreplaceable Infinity Beta 12s, so I need some cheap subs to replace them with. Let me know what you have, thanks.

I have a pair of Boston Acoustics 12" g312-44 DVC 4, LNIB (took the subs out for placement), but went a different route. $250 shipped for both.

Product highlights:
  • 12" subwoofer with dual 4-ohm voice coils
  • copolymer woofer cone with foam surround
  • RadialVent cooling for increased power handling
  • power handling: 100-375 watts RMS (187.5 watts per voice coil)
  • frequency response: 20-350 Hz
  • sensitivity: 85.6 dB
  • mounting depth: 6-5/8"
  • suitable for free-air use
  • sealed box volume: 1.0 cu. ft.
  • ported box volume: 2.0 cu. ft.

Regarding budget, the cheaper the better but I don't want pawn shop junk. He's in high school so I'm just getting him started. He can buy better subs later if he gets into it. If I don't find anything used I'll probably go with a pair of JL 12WO for $280 shipped from Crutchfield.

I have some Arc Audio Arc series 12's. Where are you located? Just thinking saving on shipping would help your search.
