Looking for honest review on CDT audio and stereo integrity components

So I’m looking at some CDT speakers. I’m looking to make a 3 way setup. I need shallow mount speakers. I am open to other options as well. Im just looking for someone with first hand experience with these particular speakers. Thanks in advance

Speakers i am looking at.

ES-1200iS tweeters.

I’m also open to other shallow components too if anyone has a better plan.
Stereo Integrity TM65 is worth a look...

Regarding the tweeters, if you're unsure of whether you want a silk, aluminum or titanium dome, check out the CDT DT-26S. The tweeter itself is a self contained module that twists into the mounts. They offer aluminum and titanium versions that you can swap out without needing to redo the mounts, or even remove the panel, as it's all done from the "front" side...

Anything mentioning Hi-Res and/or output above 20khz is pure marketing BS. Quite a few of the major players are in on it as well, so I don't place it all on CDT, but very few humans can hear above 20 khz and we're in a car. Completely meaningless marketing BS...

nice. I did not know that. I usually buy silk tweeters. I have not experimented with much else.
so did you get the ES-1200iS tweeters ?
Yes those are the tweeters I have installed, though I might have an older version than the one shown online because mine look slightly different

just checked out stereo integrity’s website site. Never heard of them before. They make some nice looking stuff. Do you have any first hand experience with them? They make some serious looking subwoofers too. Wish I was still into spl stuff.

Yea. I’ve seen some that look different. Must be an older model. How do you like them? Are they bright?

I have used their subs before and they’re excellent. I personally have 2 of their HST18s and 4 of their HT18v3s and they’re awesome!

I wouldn’t say they are bright, rather the opposite. Not necessarily dull but laid back and inoffensive is the best way I can think to describe them. They are the next thing in my system to change, but they’ve also stuck around the longest. The installation accessories included are convenient. I do not regret buying them, but I probably wouldn’t buy them again if that means anything lol.

I'm running the original, revision 0, TM65s in the doors of my beater-with-a-heater for about a year now. The window track is directly behind the speaker, so I have few choices but to run low profile 6.5s I use them from 100-700hz with Unity 8s on the top end and a Kenwood 10" on the the lows. I ran them without a high pass filter for a couple days while building the sub box and they were no slouch. I'm powering them with 125w RMS.

How they compare to those CDT low profiles, I can't really say. I'm sitting on a pile of BNIB CDT 6.5s, having bought speakers before checking on depth, and then changing plans on my pride-n-joy. That and mine are rev 0 TM65s, not the latest-and-greatest mkIV.
daloudin likes some of their speakers. That's enough for me to have confidence.
The drivers I have personally used are the ES-0690 Gold and the Unity 7.5 - No problem with either, really nice midbass impact from the 6x9 but didn't like the way they sounded up top when crossing over to a tweeter in the 2.5kHz Range.

The Unity drivers are great if you simply need a wideband that can be installed on-axis and won't miss the sparkle up top. I've used them in standard cab truck installs from 300-Up with Quad PA style 6.5s in the door and blow throughs in the bed and never had any complaints but that was simply brutally loud and silly SPL capability.

No experience with any of the drivers in the OP.

nice. Good to know. I’m definitely liking the look of the stereo integrity components. Hopefully I can find someone who has used there tweeters. Before I make a decision.
If anyone has used any stereo integrity components too I’d love to hear what you think about them.
I am using the new 6.5 midbass from SI for 85-2400kHz originally and now from 85-800Hz. I have no basis for comparison with other good drivers but I like them and have no need to replace them at the moment. Sorry I cant add more. I also have the old SI M25 tweeters that I used for a while from 2400Hz up and they sounded great. I am not sure that my current AF gs25 is going to be able to provide the open airiness of the gs25, but this is a bit apples to oranges as the M25 is a tweet and the gs25 is more of a wideband .

I run a full Stereo Integrity front stage in my F150 and I love the way they sound. The TM65Mk4 in sealed doors have plenty of impact and blend well with the subs and Carbon M3 midranges. The tweeters play very smooth and flat up to about 16khz. I'm running the TM65 mibass 60-250hz, M3 midrange 250-3khz, and the M25 tweeters 3k and up. It's a very detailed and smooth sounding system, which has brought home quite a few trophies in the PNW.

I also run the full SI 3-way set and will probably never run anything else. I absolutely LOVE the way they sound and I don’t even have a full tune yet (coming in May). To me the tweeters (because you asked) are perfect. Just the right amount of top-end without being overly bright. They’re definitely not “laid back” but they are nowhere near the harshness I experienced with the Focal PolyGlass I had once upon a time. If it matters mine are on-axis in custom sail panels.

wow very nice. How do you have the tweeters and mid range mounted. Are they on axis ? I am very limited on placement unfortunately. Any rear fill?

perfect. That exactly what I wanted to hear.
Alright I think I’ve been persuaded to buy the stereo integrity components. Just one more thing. How much power are you guys running to them? I still like it pretty loud. There going in an old truck that’s pretty noisy. I’m planning on using a 6 channel dsp with about 125 watts rms to each speaker.
My amps are rated at 100x4 to mids & tweets and 200x2 to the midbasses.

The SI components are on another level compared to CDT = good choice.

Most of the TM65 installs I've dealt with are running around 200-250 wpc to the midbass and usually 90-100 wpc to midrange and tweets. Your 125 wpc will be fine for the mids and tweets but I would suggest you need at least double that to the 6.5s
