Hello everyone

I want to be more active in the forum and I though to start by presenting what I currently have installed in my car, here it goes.

I welcome all your opinions about changes to make:)

If you can't have three amps, then for a cleaner sound I suggest you use one amp for mids and tweeters and another solely for bass. Otherwise, the bass energy running through the amp for the sub will affect the sensitive tweeters, so you might hear "whooshing" sounds in your highs when the bass hits.
Nice equipment selection. The subsonics could be stronger.
Hello Everyone

Thanks for your replies

kinchu007, I am going to take that into account...I didn't think of that so maybe in the future I will consider another amp for the sub only. The Peerless work on 8ohm that's why I have to dedicate one amp only for them to get 70rms at 8ohms to each one.

About the subsonics this a slim subwoofer and I already read some nice reviews of it...I forgot to tell that I chose this one because it is going to be mounted on the front in the dashboard  and with an Fs of 25hz and Xmax of 9,3mm and only requiring 7 to 9 liters of sealed box it easyly jsutifies the price of 8o pounds I paid for it:p

The Peerless are also not that expensive 110 the pair and both Genesis were bought used but in perfect condition:blush: they are going to play in the doors in a sealed box of 3 liters...

I opted for the IVA D310 because it is very useful for me to have this kind of HU installed.

Finally the PXA accomplishes the task of DSP, flawlessly

Is it now more understandable my choice of equipment? ;)

Nevertheless, of course I appreciate all your comments on what to improve etc etc

It's HIGHLY doubtfull you would "hear" anything of the sort, but it IS possible for the sub to pull the lions share of current.. not very probable, though...

I do agree though, you would be a little better off running the mids/tweets from one amp and the subs from another.. for the reason I state above..
If this is true,

then why not put the sub and tweet on one amp since the tweeters don’t need much power at all.
Looks similar to Natan Budiono's system in complexity and he just won IASCA PRO and SQC1...so you could be on the right track.

I think this would be a good time for a little diy and see what would happens.

:mean: I can't possibly imagine that a Genesis would display that behavior.
I think that the Genesis will behave ok...and I am also waiting for an upgrade to them in terms of capacitors, powerstage, etc...I hope to have help from the guys in Genesis to do that, let's see.

I'll try to make a HD movie and post it on YouTube for you guys to hear the system  It's definetely not possible to take my car from Portugal to US, sorry for that:rolleyes:

I chose this system because I didn't want to end up with 6.5 woofers on the doors, not to reach the doors limits in terms of vibration.
Also, I am a kickbass lover (those 80 to 100hz you know...) and I have to tell you this 5,25 do it incredibly well... then the sub just to had that deep but still controled and somewhat kick.

The tweeters are the same as MBQuart new WideSphere from the premium range, in fact German Maestro was the company supplying MbQuart with this technology and they are completely the same, I love them:)

Finally, why not chill out a little bit guys? :p

I actually like the proposed system. IMHO, it is simple, neat, and should sound well balanced. I think it would sound tons better than an Infinity Reference component setup with some OVERPRICED dedicated JL Audio midbass speakers. :p
Wow, someone went on a editing spree in this thread...

I see what you did there....chad... good show.. lol..
