I bought a pair of the 780m's a little while back. I was shopping for a good low budget sound quality headphones. I also bought a pair of the lower end seinhauser(sp?) that were supposed to be a really good bang for buck beginner headphones. I liked the 780's better and returned the seinhauser's.

Nakamichi became OEM name for chinese crap a while ago and these headphones is no exception.

No doubt, but that's why they are cheap. I bought a nakamichi 100 disc CD player in about 2001, later I find out it is basically a Sony. Markup for the sake of name. Shet.

I have some Nak headphones already. They stink. They are better than my ear buds and when I leave them on the bench/bleachers while I play sports I'm not afraid of them being stolen.
