I'm relatively new to this and i wanted to see what some experienced people thought.

It's my first time actually buying an aftermarket system for my 1997 Mitsubishi Mirage De Coupe and the setup I want includes

Head unit - Kenwood Excelon KDC-X396 (22 watts RMS x 4 channel, 50 Peak x 4)
Front speakers - Morel Maximo 5 1/4 2-way components
Rear speakers - undecided :p
Amp - Hifonics BRX640.4 (80 watts RMS x 4 @ 4ohm, 320 bridged @ 4ohm)
Sub - either a JL Audio 12W0v3-4 sub or a Morel Primo 124 12" sub (1.75 cu. ft. ported box)

I was planning on running the front components on the amp and bridging the sub on the rear outputs, then run the rear speakers directly from the head unit. What do you guys think of this setup?

Also does anyone know of some good budget 6.5" speakers to run off of the HU?

Thanks guys

Have you already purchased any of this?

I would focus on your front stage. If you have a budget for your rear speakers, you may consider throwing that at the front components to step up to the Tempo 5 from the Maximo. You could still run your rear factory speakers off the head unit, if you so desired.

Also, for about the same money as the Hifonics, I would consider the Pioneer GM-D8604. Otherwise, your selections look fine.
