Pretty much I have read a few threads where some ppl will do some things to there A-pillars to make the tweeters sound better. I was wanting to do the same thing and was wanting to know what all is there I can do to the A-pillars to make the have more output/better sound? What tricks of the trade do ppl do to make a better sound?

Umm, I don't think there is any reason to add mass to A pillars, but perhaps wrapping some foam could bring the noise level down (if there is any here).

So we talking about something like a Second Skin Overkill / Overkill pro or even maybe Luxury liner pro? I know I have seen some ppl put stuff on there like adhesive mat (ex. Damplifer Pro) but am not sure why and/or if anything else is being used.
A little bit of vibration damper might help if you're getting any resonance and lining the backs with foam will help eliminate any rattles. Tweeters don't transfer enough energy to the mounting surface to be a huge, fill them with concrete, sort of problem.

Yea See I wasn't so sure since I am going to have the dynaudio esotar2 110 tweeters in there and since there so big I didn't know if they might be some crazy resonance problem. Any type of foam I should be looking into? Maybe the overkill/overkill pro or luxury liner pro? I am not sure what foam you guys are talking about here? Also since this tweeter is so big do you think I am going to have any other problems I should look into to working on?

Luxury Liner is for blocking sound. One of the Over Kills should be fine. Is the tweeter so big that you are going to have to build a pod or make other drastic mods to the a-pillar trim? If so, all bets are off :)

Yea the tweeter is 3 inches Overall dimension ø 111 x 41 mm

My dealer is making the tweets fit in to the A-pillars I am not sure how he is doing it. He told me it would be a lil tricky since it was so big. I suppose there making a pod for me but not sure I am due to pick it up soon and when I do I can post pics of it.

You said all best are off what do you mean of this?

Is there something else I will have to do if all bets are off?

All id say , if you are worried about it i would stick a sound dedner of your choice to the a piller and stick some wading" like bass box filling" on the a piller cover;) for a tight fit.

Hope this helps.

hmm.... I have a question.

You are building this vehicle for competition right?

You have done an incredible amount of prep work, deadened everything all the way to your headlights, had your car completely apart, spent thousands and thousands of dollars on equipment...right?

and now.......

My dealer is making the tweets fit in to the A-pillars I am not sure how he is doing it.
personally I think you might have your priorities wrong.

This is probably where you should be taking a more active part. Not that you have to build them, but at least determine where they will go and how they are aimed...etc.

you will probably be able to process out any issues, but at the level you are trying to accomplish not knowing where they are going just doesn't seem right....... and even with processing you should be trying to do as little of it as possible.

anyway, can't wait to see how it comes out.

I see what you are saying I have alrdy talked with my dealer and me and him talked about where to aim them at and we looked over the vehicle and figured things out to be. Anyways He also competes in some shows not sure which ones but he has trophies for mean streets and some other shows. He knows what I am going for so we are making this to be what hopefully is really good. I would be doing this work myself except I dont know how to mold/fiberglass and since I am not skillful in that area I am paying someone to do it right. If I feel it is not right I will get it fixed. How ever I am doing the door stuff myself. I just dont have the tools or a truck to do the work myself or I would. I wish I HAD A TRUCK!
If you are serious about getting the best possible aiming it is advised to get the system in and running and deal with the tweeters last. Mount them with Velcro or bendable metal rods and listen, measure, adjust, and then aim again. Just looking it over and going from there might not create the best sound. As far as deadning.....many try to deaden and/or cover anything that reflects...i.e... plastic pillars, dash, doors, etc...
