I am getting ready to do my 2007 Acura TSX w/ nav install. I have gone over thread after thread, both here as well as Acura forums. It appears the best way to get from the HU to a processor is to use the preamp outputs from the HU and build RCA cables. I plan to run into an MS-8. I am aware of the AOEM-HON but have determined that is not the optimal solution.

From the MS-8 I am fine - know what I am doing. I am also comfortable making the harness but need some guidance on what wires go where, maybe some step by step with color codes, etc.

There is an infamous Mercman harness that did the trick, but I believe that ship has sailed. I am also willing to pay for a harness to be built.

Please help, and thank you in advance.

You are correct, tapping the signal wires to the amp is best. I also have a TSX, here is the color/pin out. I would follow the pin numbers rather than the wire colors as I have an 08.

FR is Red(+, Pin 4) and Green(-, Pin 11)
FL is TannishPink(+, Pin 1) and Yellow(-, Pin 8)

Thanks guys. So that seems simple enough - FR(+/-) and FL(+/-).

My question isn't there something about two more wires that are shields? How do those factor in to the wiring?

Sure. That will give you a little more slack to play with. I would suggest soldering/heat shrinking all connections. That particular product has an included female barrel connector that connects to the male end. Crutchfield sells speaker wire to female rca, which eliminates the barrel connector.
