I am new to the forums but have been in car audio for about a year now. My first build was in a 2010 Chevy Cobalt LT 4 door. I simply wanted loud bass and nothing else. Really messed up on the parts install everything. So now I am redoing it the right way. I listen to a lot of trap, edm, and bass boosted music and I am looking for a front stage with bass. I have a Clarion CX501 double din head unit running 2 6x9 Alpine coaxial speakers model TS-A66995R in the rears for fill. Then I have a Crescendo Symphony 550/2 for the front stage. It is a 2 channel amp that puts out 275w rms at 2 ohms and 150w rms at 4. For subs I am running 2 12in Sundown SA at 1 ohm on a Crescendo bc2000.1. In a 4.6 cubic foot box tuned at 31hz sealed off from the trunk facing the engine. Right now in my doors I have the Pioneer TS-A1675R. My plan was since I want more bass was to cut out the stock hole to 8in and run 8in speaker and then either cutout another hole to next to for the Pioneer TS-A1675R or buy kick panels and place them in those. But the Pioneer TS-A1675R will be running off my headunit at 21w rms along with my rears. But I will have 4 front stage speakers total. I have treated my doors and such for the best bass I can get, so I don't need to to anything about that. Just need speakers.I was leaning toward the Crescendo PWX 8in with the RTS1 Tweeters. But also want to get the best I can afford. So basically after all of this info. What is the best for me? Whatever it is it need to be a 2 way component speaker no coaxial and under $250 for everything.

You have pics of your sub setup? I think you are leaving a bit of spl on the table with the subs and port firing into the cab of the vehicle instead of using the entire airspace of the trunk.

Save up run speakers actively and you will be much happier with the output and control of your door speakers. I would also play with the position of your enclosure as you can get a 3db dain just from cabin gain.

A four way front stage would be a nightmare to get right with passive crossovers, etc. It'd probably be loud but not very accurate or sound good.

Adding more speakers won't make it sound better. The best bet would be just to swap the pioneers with better components/coax.

Go 8" PA run them active that way using the xovers on the amps. You will get extremely loud as a bunch of PA out there has high sensitivity.

OK, trying to decipher wall-o-text...

CAR: 2010 Chevy Cobalt LT 4 door
GOAL: Front stage with bass.
BUDGET: $250
HEADUNIT: Clarion CX501 double-din
REAR FILL: 6x9 Alpine coaxial TS-A66995R
AMP 1: Crescendo Symphony 550/2; 2 x 275w rms at 2 ohms, 2 x 150w rms at 4ohms.
SUBS: 2 x 12in Sundown SA at 1 ohm; 4.6 cubes; Ported; Tuned to 31Hz
SUB AMP: Crescendo bc2000.1.
SPEAKERS: Pioneer TS-A1675R tri-axial 6.5"

Your plan is to add more speakers and/or bigger speakers because you want "more upfront bass"

Did I get that right?

What was your question exactly?

Sorry about the wall I realized it after I already submitted it but yes that is all correct. I want to add more bass up front whether that be more speakers or better speakers in conjunction with the ones I have now

I am fine with cutting out the metal to fit bigger speakers but I don't want to complety ruin the plastic cover. 8in will fit with minimal modifications to the plastic haven't check 10s yet I can when I'm home.

Image the bass up front. Right now it's all in the back the front speaker have no bass at all really. But wouldn't imaging it in the front at not more spl volume but be louder to the ears?
Wouldn't it be easier to do some time delay and have the subs move up front? I think that if you want more bass up front but are happy with the volume right now that time alignment is your best and most cost effective option.
