Just a quick find, always looking for little midranges for mounting high :D

TangBand W3-315D

Aluminum/magnesium cone
Rubber surround
Cast frame
Fs = 105Hz
87dB 1W/1M
xmax = 1mm (hey, it's a midrange)
18 bucks (!)

Anybody know a good magnesium cone midbass to match? :wink:

now off to find a grill ...

Let me just say this ... I've recently got my hands on a variety of very interesting 3" drivers, samples of which will soon be sent our friendly neighborhood tester.

You don't need a lot of excursion for midrange but it sure would nice if it had like at least 1mm...
I wish it was 1mm, then i would have got the titanium cone version you linked to instead :( me want 200Hz crossover point

seriously, i wonder if it's too much to ask for something with a great motor, a shorting ring, decent xmax and sensitivity...sigh :(
