Thanks WILL.

Its in really nice shape. There is a ding on one of the ends of the heatsink fins but minor stuff, the rest is bright red infact its the most red I have ever seen an HCCA. This one has really nice 105C Nichicon Caps. There is a difference between the digital reference 2 gen and these Comp / X-over third gens. I compared a 2nd gen and 3rd gen boards side by side and the 3rd gen has many small refinements ,Probably the best HCCA 250.

Text me if your interested in some trades. I was going to sell my NAKAMICHI 2CH & 4 CH made by Zed but I don’t think thats ever going to happen. I have been emailing Steve Mantz and he said those 2 amps were a true cut above the rest and extremely high quality. He said he never once received any warranty or repairs come back to him for the PA504 & PA1002 Naks that he built.

Here is a Orion HCCA 250 Digital Reference 2nd Generation and a HCCA 250 COMP/ X-OVER 3RD Generation side by side.

The 3rd gen has no internal wiring as copper bus bars are used, there is bigger caps and there 105C Nichicon, the toriod coil is a difference size.

The 3rd gen is also a little bigger, same height and width but its longer.

These are not the best pictures but you might be able to see the differences in the board lay out.

Here is the new boards for the Boland Audio 2x100 (Bernie Boland father of ORION). Looks very similar to the XTR 2150/HCCA 250 boards don’t you think.

Class A/B USA MADE straight out of the time machine with 2017 prices.

When you consider the new Boland Audio 2x100 is also $1800 US it almost ads a little value to the old stuff.

But then again I think the HCCA 250 comp/x-over was still a $900-$1000 in 1992.
