I still have one of these, it still works, but I want to mess with it:D

so I took it apart and noticed a few things:
- there is no reflection damping inside (thought that was needed with a bandpass?)
- the woofer is a DVC 8" 2x2 Ohm (and I lost the pic showing the markings...)

I've been looking at ways to turn it into a silk purse (I know, I know)

- dampen reflections
Just use some this fibreous material on the walls of the front chamber

- change driver as this was specced to a price naturally
Hard time with this. Looking at loudspekerdatabase.com using these rules
of thumb as a guide High Qts, Low Fs, high Vas, but everything I find
gives nothing even close the box!

- increase power
Just got a Alpine PDP-800DSP at a good price.
I could use either two channels of it for each voice coil (100W RMS each)
set two channels in parallel mode and wire the coils to 4 Ohm.
All electronics would then be removed of course.

Mad? YES!
A waste of time and money? YES!
Something to learn from? YES!

So any pointers?

Found some self adhesive reflection damping material, stuck in in there.
No I need to get it all in the car to hear how it sounds.
