There's a question in my mind lately about a certain set of passive crossovers. I understand that commonly in 4 ohm driver passives, when u use a 8 ohm driver in it, the highpass will be increased by twice, and the lowpass will be decreased by twice, right? wrong?

Anyway... let's say i've got a highpass meant for a 8 ohm tweeter and a lowpass meant for a 6 ohm driver in that crossover, what would happen if say i put in a 4 ohm tweeter and a 8 ohm mid? Kinda blur about what would the crossover points be.

And also, as a side note, is there any 8 ohm small dome tweeter that can do a 1.5kHz 12dB highpass? Thanks.

I'm not aware of any tweeter that can do 1.5khz with a 2nd order slope without some compromise in distortion performance.

As far as the crossover, I'd just give it a try and see how it sounds by ear.
