Hey guys I'm installing a new set of components and I wanted to ask a real dumb question how do I set my am on LP HP or ALL. I would assume that it would either be HP or ALL and I think that since I am using the passive crossover I should leave it at ALL and let the passive crossover do it's job. Any help or direction is helpfull

What amp is it and does it have that option to do LP, HP or FULL?

I had mine on full but the passives fail to block the really low frequency and sounded like ****, so I did put the my amp on satellite mode (80hz and above) and it sounded much better. Sometimes the passives dont do too good of a job blocking low frequencies that the speaker can't produce thats when it sounds kinda nasty.

What components are you using?

I had tried test tones and I could hear 20hz-60hz sine waves with the setting on the amp on FULL, so the passives weren't blocking those low frequencies.

Try full first and crank your volume up.... If it still sound good, then leave it as it is, else set the amp's crossover filter on HPF and start from 50Hz...
