Hello, complete novice in need of help here, i want to use my laptop as a jukebox and play music from Deezer playlist's through this amp.
Buy Cheap SON-288A 600W Aluminum Case Car Auto Stereo Audio Amplifier Copper Tone i have played music through a USB stick and am happy with it, but i was told that because the amp has no memory i cant do it, why? surely if it accept's a USB memory stick it will accept the same though a USB lead from my laptop, any advice would be appreciated. I think the answer is no.

You would need a driver to interface your computer with the amplifier. I've searched around and it does not look like the manufacturer supports direct PC connection.
It has a built-in MP3 decoder, which is why you can use your memory sticks, but I don't see any other USB capabilities.

That might work if you only have MP3 files on the hard drive and it's formatted in one of the supported file system formats anf the MP3s are also supported.

Manufacturers stated file system and MP3 support below:

Support FAT12,FAT16 file syestem.
Support MP1 Layer 3, MP2 Layer3, MP3 Layer 3 version of the song.
Support 32-320kbps MP3 songs.​

I think it's worth a try anyway. Put a couple of MP3 songs on the hard drive and try it out. Make sure you have external power for the hard drive. The USB port on the amp only provides 5v/1amp

Hello, and yes that's the one, you got to love the interpreter they use any help you can give me would be great,it's been suggested that an external hard drive might work, mate, i dont even know what that is !***** ive just noticed that the two jack plug's on the back are not speaker output but Audio input ! so if i run a jack from my PC to both of those i should be able to do what i want, should'nt i ?

Yes. You can use a Y-RCA cable like this:

Stereo to RCA Y cable​

to use your sound output from the computer and run it directly to the amp.

I just found some 3mtr and 10mtr long one's on ebay for stupid cheap money, does the gold plating make much difference in the sound quality ?

Nope. Nothing you could ever notice while using that amp. My link was just an example. I know when I needed a cheap one to run my laptop out to my TV I just ran down to Walmart and paid a couple bucks. Works great.

Thank's mate, i am really so chuffed at you bloke's for getting this sorted out for me that i did a little jig round the lounge a minute ago come summer i will have the trailer finished with all the woodwork varnished and the shower,cooker,light's and now the sound's fitted,.:smoking:

I'll have you know that everyone reckon's me dancing is a sight never to be forgotten No i'm not a caravanner,i'm building a camping trailer to tow behind my bike, ive got 2 side fold out's that make a platform 4ft x 9ft for a party table during the day and a bed at night,when i put a 10ft x 10ft pop-up gazebo over it, it's got a kitchen cupboard at the front with gas bottle,water container,cooker and a 12v 110ah battery,there's shower and parasol attachment's, and a load of LED strip's all over the place and now the best sound's on the campsite Here's a couple of photo's during it's progress,as i said it's not finished yet. The latest Samsung SSDs only use 3.7 watts maximum during the read cycle, so possibly no external supply needed. Depends on the specs of the drive in question of course.

The only other issue I can think of is a physical limitation to drive size that is recognized by the amp hardware/os. Might be a non-issue.
