So I have the Silver flute 8s in my doors, the Vifa tweeters and tectronic midrange in my pillars. However, I do not like the look of the midranges and the [email protected] efficiency I am told is going to be hard to blend. Bored at work I was looking at PE and these look like great contenders. Opinions please

Do you have a dsp and active capabilities OP? From my experience, work on tuning and install first before you go changing hardware. Of course, if you have all of that done then go to town on parts!

These guys here (the real badasses anyways...) taught me to do that and set me on the right path to car audio nirvana (it's a long path kind of hehe) a couple years ago after I had gone hunting on why my sound didn't improve after a midbass driver change. What followed was 6 months of installing, tuning, and learning before I even had a clue what real car audio SQ was.

Anyway, I digress....install, install, install quality.

Those look great too but have pretty much the same specs as I have now and was told they'd be a problem cause of the low sensitivity.
Why are you so worried about sensitivity? If you are running active and/or have a processor you should have no problem balancing levels between drivers.

What issues are you trying to solve exactly? You mention sensitivity and not liking the "look" of your midrange.

If you want driver recommendations we need to know a little more about your system. What crossover points are you using? How are you amping the drivers? Which HU & DSP are you using?

The midrange is the most critical driver in your system. Take your time to make a good decision. Also don't totally cheap out here. You have good mid bass and tweeter, spending a few extra bucks on the mid will really set your system off. I'm not saying to get $500 mids, but there are many proven performers under or around a $100.

What's the largest you are willing to fit (diameter and depth)?

Tune is also a huge deal. Don't worry too much about sensitivity. Typically the ratings are based on the driver reproducing an extended frequency range. If you cross them high enough, it is likely the driver will have better power handling.
