Planning to upgrade the subwoofer in my 2017 Dodge Charger. After considerable research, I've landed on 2 good possibilities:

Audiofrog GB12D4 Ported 1.5 cu ft
Stereo Integrity SQL 15D4 Sealed 2.0 cu ft

My goal is powerful SQ with low bass you can hear, not just feel. Also want good chest thump.

I used to have a GB12D4 sealed. It sounded good but lacked low end. Will it improve in a ported enclosure? Would the SI 15 sealed dig even lower? Which sub would you prefer?

I'd lean towards the SQL, but with only the XD600/1 to feed it, I'm not sure that's enough power to really make it sing.
The GB ported should be more efficient, with the power you have, but I don't know if it will give you the output you're looking for.

I'm open to upgrading the amp to 1k or 1.5k if that makes a difference.

Decided to take my chances on the SI SQL 15 in a 2 cu. ft. sealed (with 1lb Poly?). Wish me luck.

That all depends on the transfer function of your car… if it has a suck out at 30hz then no, no speaker will, will the driver play 20-30hz, yup… but in your car is down entirely to your install and vehicle
