I recently installed a double din head unit in my truck. I went to try and insert a dvd to see that it worked properly and found it would not take a disc in. I have removed the two screws in the top that are for shipping purposes. It is Power Acoustik brand so nothing fancy. I was hoping someone might could help out. If not it’s fine, it at least plays my music using Bluetooth and that was my main goal. Thanks!

Hi Muller93,
Does the DVD go in and out right away, or it's not going in at all?
Is it a DVD you made or one you bought? Movie or just music?

It’s a regular DVD that I bought. I can’t hear any gears turning when I try putting it in. It’s as if the unit doesn’t register that I’m trying to insert a disc. It does the same thing with CDs.

The same thing happened to a friend of mine with a Boss HU, he complained about it on Amazon, they send him a new one, didn't even had to return the first one.

I bought mine through Walmart online but I’ll give it a go and see if anything comes of it. I’m thinking I probably just have a bad unit.
