Question about GB40's from anyone that has experience with them.

I'm thinking about installing some GB40's in the upper front door panel's. (not lower door)

But, I'd only do this install, if I was confident they could be crossed over at 150hz/24slope. And
play down the 1 octive to 75hz. I'll be pushing 120watts per channel to them.

If you have experience using/tuning GB40's, would you be willing to share what you have figured out
with these speakers.

Are they a good speaker? Will they play down to 75/80hz?

What Crossover do you use, and how much power are you sending to them?

I remeasured & with the doors closed it is 9” from the center of the GB60s to the center of the 5.25” subs.

The front 5.25” subs only 50hz to 200hz crossovers @ 24dB slopes.

I really like the response of those 5.25... Thanks for posting !!

Its difficult to see how you have them mounted and the type of enclosure they are in... What are those 5.25's? I'd like to look the specs up on them.
How did you have them mounted? Did you have them in any type of enclosure? Where did you have them installed?
Sealed pods om the Dash. Dumdum has run them in this same arrangement aswell.

Either of these drivers would work perfect for what your trying to do and the Scan is on sale for 99 each to boot right now.

I don't think you can find pods for these but they would work great in kicks or in door card if you can make that happen. These drivers will have no problem playing low like you are looking for and I bet they sound awesome doing it. I know Dumdum has used them in a very similar application like a 4 way front end. I also ran a 4 way front at one point in my last car and it sounded very very good.
