Hey all,

I currently have Stinger Expert installed on my trunk lid. Still getting some rattle. My question is what next? Another layer of Something like Kolossus or something else? Pics below.

Honestly, putting kolossus over the stinger might help, but it won't be nearly as effective as the first layer, and stinger unfortunately isn't very effective. You'd actually get better performance removing the stinger and just applying kolossus, although I know that would be a pain.

Is it trim panels rattling, or metal resonance that is the issue?

Seams like resonance what about cld or mlv? Might be able to get some video and audio if it's not raining gotta measure for the new box going in. Really is only on the top near the window. If I just put my hand on the top of the trunk with it closed it stops.

I'm not saying you should, but I have used low expanding foam in the trunk lid.

I would guess most noises you hear are not from sheet metal. Anything loose, cables, even wires not in a loom, seatbelt retractors are a ***** to tame.

Nope it's from the trunk lid I think. I'll get some audio and maybe a couple better pics. I was thinking of some MLV maybe.

If I knew about this stuff before I used a ton of expanding foam in my build I would've used this instead.

Its function is a space filler and would be perfect for your trunk lid. This would kill any potential rattles by wiring, etc. Best thing is, over using expanding foam, it's easily removable.

I made the same mistake, and have the same outcome. I wonder how difficult it is to rip this [email protected] off? I won't skimp anymore.
