Recomended amps for Ribbons

I'm thinking about going with a set of ribbon tweeter's and I'm wondering what would be some good clean amps that would match up to a set of ribbons.

I was thinking about going with Zed amps, but then I decided I might want to try ribbons, and that would be way too much power for them.(right?)

Say in the 1-300 dollar range-new.

Also open to suggestions on used one's too.

I really like the monitor-1 2.70. It has all the nice little amenities like covers for the legs on the output devices and chassis mounted rca plugs.
I bought a PPI A100.2 it's rated for 25 watts rms X 2 @ 4 ohms. This shouldn't overpower a set of ribbons @ 8 ohms right?

What Ribbon tweeter would you suggest to match up to this amp? Say in the 50-150 dollar range each.
What set of ribbons are you going to purchase?

That's a good ? :D

I'm not sure which one's to get, still in the "just decided to go with ribons" stage.

What would you recomend?

I'm not going to be using a headunit, planning on a computer with a 10.4" Xenarc in the dash.

I was checking out the Behringer DCX 2496 and since I'll have a computer in the car, it's seems like the right choice.

I'm looking to spend up to 300 bucks for a pair of good ribbons, the cheaper the better though.
A pair of Fountek neo3's should suit you. $80 each. It's a good ribbon, due to its higher powerhandling and durability.

I wouldn't worry about overpowering them with your amp. Just use common sense. I have mine hooked up to a 80x2 amp, but it's setup such that they never see more than 1-3 watts.
Raal makes some nice ones too !

RAAL
I've a pair of RAAL's in my car right now and they are exceptional... :)
Why on earth are 4 year old threads getting bumped?
