Howdy! Just got a McIntosh MC440 amp from a friend of mine and would like to do something about a few scratches.

Any suggestions for hiding these?

Black marker is the hack way, but can be seen in the light. Either you paint it or try to paint the scratches in. Best paint I found is the bumper paint for cars, the flat black, but is in spray cans....if it is flat black. If in question paint something and compare. The (flexible) bumper paint will be more flat the drier you spray it each coat, and if you polish it after dry it will shine up some but not completely. You can use a piece of paper/etc and spray some paint in a puddle, use the paper edge get some on it just enough to fill the scratch. May need to do it several times to fill the scratch. Otherwise you sand it down some and paint it, or clean it and scratch pad it likely is good enough for non scratched areas.
