Hey all. In the 03 G35 sedan, there are some styrofoam spacers that lie in the floor pan to help level off the carpet with the floor. The front ones are several inches deep ...

I'd like to create something that would give a better deadening effect. However, the cost of Overkill Pro or Luxury Liner would be outrageous to build up to match the size of these spacers. I figure maybe the bottom layer and top layer, I would use these products ...

Any suggestions for other materials to use? Open cell foam probably not an option due to moisture potential....

I would leave it, Maybe add some expanding foam to level it off and then put sound dampner over it.

Here is a hint, I assume you have removed the seats, when you put the seat back in you might get an airbag light on the dash, To fix this cycle from off to acc. (Right before engine start) 3 time,It may go off the first time or blink slower if does just cycle it 3 more times.
