What's good or bad about these subs?
Rockford p3 12 love or hate?

What don't you like about them?so many great subs out there...i would be hard pressed to find a reason to choose this one unless all you had in the world to spend was the $139 they cost.
they are an ok sub and performed fine in a ported box my buddy had in an old blazer, got loud and stayed composed even with a lot more power than they should have been able to take.
The cones are soooo ugly though! I'd say yes theres better but..if it matches your taste in looks and performance, theres nothing wrong with it.

my brother sells them in his store and the ones i have heard sounded cheap and had lots of mechanical noise. Now that was in his store and not in my car so your experience may be different.

I listened to some at a store a long time ago and didn't like them but recently I heard the new version and thought they were smoother.

i listened to them a couple years ago before i bought 4 ID8's...so maybe they have improved.
I had two. They were not that great. Lot of mechanical noise as others stated. The build quality was poor too. They didn't even sound that great. In the end both subs locked themselves up and died. They only were given 150w each. I thought my $75 kickers sounded better honestly.
I'm a huge fan of Rockford amps but their sub line is lacking. Have you looked into the Sundown Audio line? Great things being said about those subs and they go for $110.
