Simple question, but I need a definitive answer. I need to figure out how to bolt down my 75+ lb sub box in my Mustang so that it won't budge, yet can be quickly removed when I take the car to the track. I don't think screws (into the box or in the car's sheetmetal) are going to hold safely with the box as heavy as it is and the way the car gets driven sometimes. I think bolts and nuts are the only option here.

I was thinking I could bolt some 1" x 1/8" steel strap through the box for brackets, and then bolt them through the trunk floor somehow, but I'd like to be able to quickly undo those bolts without getting under the car. Any ideas?

Angle steel, build a 3 sided frame to bolt to the floor (open toward the rear), use quick release clamps for that of like road cases that bands use for equipment.. half attached to the box, the other to the frame..

Un-clamp, slide out towards the rear, remove... profit... !

That's a pretty good idea! Where can I get those quick release clamps?
